To begin this project I searched different onomatopoeia words to use in our project that would go with our scene or whatever word we like. I picked the word BANG! To get it to look cartoon like and Roy Lichtenstein did his I used different effects in Illustrator. I used Distort and Transform effect on the objects being the word to make my word BANG stand out. I made dots and stripes patterns to go behind the word and fill in my different effects also everything else. All the colors I used in this project all stayed in the 'Pop Art" swatch in Illustrator. To have an idea of what I wanted to do for my story line we filled out story boards on what we wanted our scenes to be.

For my second the scene I used the pen tool to trace my boxes and chart holding the boxes. I grouped my boxes and all the things I made to make it easier to move around. To fill my boxes i made a dot pattern that from far away look like a solid brown color but when you zoom in its a dot pattern that makes up that color. For the chart luckily I had a solid black color in my "Pop Art" swatches. The background is also a dot pattern but not as small as the other one for the boxes.

For this picture we had to take a photo of ourself on our reactions for our comic strip. To make it look pop art like i outline my whole face and features. For my hair I outlined it and used a costume brush tool to do the strokes in my hair to make it look more realistic. I also used more of the brushes for my eyes and eye brows. For the colors on this photo i stayed with the dot pattern for my hair, skin, shirt, and background. Since the Pop Art swatch didn't have brown and the other colors I like, so I made them myself using different patterns. For the background i stayed with the same pattern as the box photo to keep it the same.
Here is my final project!
